Bottling Process Engineer I

The Bottles Process Engineer I is responsible for designing and maintaining safe and reliable systems, while improving key performance indicators (e.g., safety, quality, delivery, cost, throughput, unplanned downtime reduction) to increase cost competitiveness. This position will collect, record, analyze, and present data to internal and external customers, identify causes for process upsets or constraints and devises solutions to resolve and recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve reliability and efficiency.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline (e.g., Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical).

Kind & Length of Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an engineering position in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, multi-line manufacturing environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced, multi-line manufacturing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful and self-motivated.
  • 6 months' experience in customer-facing role preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Fortech data management software preferred.

Work Environment:

Will work in a fast-paced multi-line manufacturing environment with strict adherence to safety & quality protocols while exposed to noise, temperature variations, etc.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS

  • Identify, design, development and optimization of the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve process-related issues and improve PR% and Quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements to reduce scrap, improve quality, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Collect, record, analyze, and present data to internal and external customers, supplying required reports and/or data as required.
  • Support continuous improvement and World Class Manufacturing operating system.
  • Lead and/or support engineering design projects.
  • Deliver projects on time and within agreed upon budget requirements.
  • Create/revise standard operating procedures, work instructions, and instructional references and train operators on updated procedures..
  • Support installation qualifications, operational qualifications, performance qualifications and validations.
  • Participate in contractor qualification for capital projects, including appropriate RC14001/EHS&S considerations.
  • Conduct training, coordinate communication and update/develop documentation prior to process implementation.
  • Conform with the EHS&S Policy and the Cardinal Rules.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • We will follow the company written training program for this position.
