Job Title: Engineer Net Systems Performance

Location(s): Bridgeville, PA

Targeted Years of Experience: 35 years

Responsibilities:


  • Working with the performance team to understand the market, identifying any issues within the cluster, researching previous projects and inflight projects, and creating shortterm and longterm designs to resolve performance issues and improve customer experience.
  • Working on creating new solutions and inputting / pulling information from various systems accurately to create solutions
  • Analyzing drive tests to evaluate search area candidate as necessary.
  • Evaluating coverage/capacity issues and running projections to identify best solutions for expanding network coverage and mitigating capacity triggering sectors.
  • Supporting the RF team in keeping the most accurate data in planning tools and maintain data integrity across all platforms.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as 5G and LTE/VoLTE technology.
  • Experience in design & optimization of 5G and LTE/VoLTE networks.
  • Understanding of 5G and LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
  • Experience with ATOLL, FUZE, Python Script experience, VSON, and Airwave
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting or VB Scripting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation


Must Have Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience in RF propagation tools (Atoll) and data analysis.
  • RF design experience in LTE and NR networks.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for developing innovative solutions and learning new technologies.
  • Knowledge of RF fundamentals, RF design principles and RF engineering tools.
  • Attention to details including consistent data integrity checks.


Desired Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Advanced skills in Atoll operation and prediction models.
  • Experience in analyzing network performance/metrics and selecting antenna/radio solutions for capacity and/or coverage requirements.
  • Experience in pulling data from multiple sources and condensing into one format, analyzing and processing the data, and generating evaluation/solution reports.
  • Ability to manipulate and manage data using SQL, GCP and scripting language like Python or Peri.
  • Ability to develop new solutions to complex problems; analysis of situations or data requires advanced skills within our discipline, an indepth evaluation of variable factors, and the frequent use of creativity.
  • Ability to present engineering analysis to internal and external teams.
  • Ericsson LTE and NR network experience.
  • Good understanding of engineering concepts, and an aptitude to learn and desire to advance in a technical field.
  • Experience in geospatial analysis, Tableau, programing, and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, time management, attention to details, teamwork and strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Five or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE, 5G, VoNR Technology.
