The primary function for this position includes reviewing quality reports from various sources according to relevant specifications. The partner will identify and then close quality gaps using appropriate follow up including education, record abstraction, outreach, and collaboration with other departments.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform chart reviews as assigned to supplement and validate electronic reporting and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Enter discrete data accurately and consistently into the EMR and insurer portals. Achieve and maintain 99% input accuracy.
  • Retrieve records from external sources as appropriate to close quality gaps.
  • Review and understand quality specifications.
  • Work with external partners to submit data for quality reporting and other programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor reports to track compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and help resolve errors in EMR documentation.
  • Provide feedback to Clinic Leadership regarding mistakes that have been made in the EMR.
  • Review available information to identify opportunities and work with other departments to improve performance in quality-related programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required. RN or other medical certification preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of electronic medical records (Epic preferred), and general business software to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
