Responsibilities

 

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our collaborative team at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (SRMC) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a growing, community-focused NICU that keeps families close to home. Establish roots in the community or have commuting flexibility with a block schedule.

Your Role

  • Staffing Model: 2 Neonatologists, 4.5 NNPs
  • Coverage includes:
    • Collaborative care of newborn nursery and Level III NICU
    • Delivery attendance
    • Education and mentorship for RN/RTs as volume and acuity grow

NICU Snapshot

  • 8-bed Level III NICU
  • 10 LDR couplet care rooms
  • Average Daily Census of 9-11, combination of NICU and Nursery
  • Annual Deliveries averages 1250 annually
  • In-house OB Hospitalist support
