The USC Center for Health Journalism seeks an experienced Audience and Engagement Editor to lead our external and internal communications. We seek a creative thinker who can increase our reach, spur new conversations and advance fundraising efforts. The role requires skillful report writing and an ability to develop creative assets that reflect our priorities and sensibility. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of designing and executing successful social media and audience engagement campaigns for nonprofit or mission-driven media organizations, as well as deep expertise in digital communications, meeting targets for audience growth, graphics for social media, email marketing, and using performance metrics to guide strategy. The hybrid position is based in Los Angeles at the Annenberg School of Journalism with an in-office schedule and remote schedule. This position provides the opportunity to work at the nation's foremost health journalism center. Founded in 2004, the non-profit center focuses on news partnerships and training initiatives that advance impactful reporting on health equity and social welfare topics.
