Primary Purpose
Provides Quality Control for Hub waste. Communicates with Branches, Ensures Flow of containers and Compliance. Reports to Sr. Director of Waste Services. Assists Hub and Facility Managers as necessary. Provides support for Disposal Operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Ensures all employees are working in a safe manner with any prescribed safety equipment required by company policy.
- Interfaces with other areas and departments to insure a smooth flow of product through the 10 day transfer, Sorting or Universal Waste storage cycle.
- Responsible for providing guidance for efficient placement, labeling of materials, and outbound disposal lanes within facilities.
- Check-in inbound drum manifests and container counts into the CC system.
- Load, unload and sort: solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations/rules.
- Operate a fork truck with attachments as needed.
- Check for inconsistencies with manifested types and quantities with actual containers received in accordance with Company rules and regulations.
- Properly maintain compliance of stop area or non-conformances.
- Perform basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
- Utilize scanning system and equipment to document certain inventory activities.
- Use DOT knowledge to match and label inbound materials and for storage and shipping of containers to other outbound sites.
- Responsible for ensuring work areas, walls, and floor in a clean and safe condition.
- Utilize knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, OSHA and permit regulations.
- Understand CC Coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers.
- Position handles hazardous materials and will often require use of PPE: Boots, Gloves, Suits, Eye/Ear Protection and Respirator.
- Provide Support to Hubs, Product Management, and CC Facilities as required.
- Facilitate Cross Training of other positions within operations
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of RCRA required.
Experience:
1-3 years Industrial facility, plant operations experience required.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- This is a safety sensitive position.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.
- Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000, and includes benefits such as the following:
