POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Shields Point, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has a dynamic opportunity for a Deputy Project Manager (DPM) in support of the Department of Transportation Armed Security Contract in the Washington, D.C. area. The DPM reports to the Project Manager (PM) and has full authority to act on all contract matters to ensure compliance, technical, cost, and schedule performance in the PMs absence. This role requires a leader with demonstrated law enforcement or security experience in managing multiple government building locations and leading a team of professional armed security officers providing physical security, emergency preparedness and response, and is adept at interacting with government personnel and ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions



  • Responsible for the Quality Control Plan, compliance, administration, supervision, inspections and evaluation of all personnel on the project.
  • Manage all required services, including staffing, training, duties, positions, and quality control for 24/7 security operations across multiple government facilities, ensuring compliance with FPS A-9 standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the government, with complete authority to act for the contractor, accepts notices of deductions, inspection reports, and all correspondence.
  • Schedule work requirements consisting of staffing, medical exams, fitness and drug testing, and training.
  • Submit daily/monthly deliverables to the government and maintain records.
  • Must be available within 30 minutes by telephone or in person for the government Monday through Friday.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies or critical situations during scheduled work hours, notifying the government within 10 minutes, and be on-site within one hour of the government's call.
  • Provide all contract deliverables and tracking expenditures.
  • Attend meetings when requested by the government.
  • Provide continuous assessment and evaluation of the contract performance, and initiate appropriate corrective action to ensure compliance, as needed.
  • Track employees' status of licenses, training, and certifications.
  • Responsible for armed security weapons procedures and storage requirements on federal property.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal audits and reporting.
  • Ensure responsive customer-focused services through direct communication, both internally and externally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have and maintain an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in any field of study, or substantial and credible law enforcement, military, or business management experience demonstrating the capacity to effectively manage an Armed Security Force in a size and scope outlined the statement of work. This includes managing security operations in different locations (Must be outlined within resume).
  • Minimum of 5 years of specialized experience. Specialized experience includes supervisory experience in law enforcement or a security related field, project development, control of budgets, and project development and implementation from inspection to deployment (Must be outlined within resume).
  • Expertise in managing budgets and resources using complex reporting mechanisms; demonstrated capability in managing muti-task contracts or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing fifty (50) or more Armed Security Officers in a structured work environment.
  • Experience managing contracts with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Must fluently speak, read, and comprehend English.
  • Possess good communicationskills with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
  • Required to provide three professional references showcasing experience managing large-scale security operations.


Expected Pay Range: $85,873 to $128,809 per year
