Job Description

The Visa Global Payables, Travel and Compliance team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our world-class commercial organization within Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS). VCS is a world class commercial organization focused on enabling new payment flows and value-added services to complement our core card solutions.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating a diverse global product portfolio to ensure their success and alignment to Visa's 2030 strategy and vision. You will lead complex projects, often with significant financial impact, requiring meticulous planning, oversight, and communication across diverse business segments. You will be expected to support the team by providing data-driven insights and analyses that contribute to iterative, successful product delivery while monitoring progress toward the team's objectives and key results. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional that understands both the business and technical aspects of payments and has a track record of managing product portfolios that exceed client expectations in the B2B landscape.

This role involves connecting the dots across the customer journey by collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and supporting initiatives that drive results within Visa's global organization. The candidate must be creative and hands-on, have a bias towards action, and inspire others with their vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio management and high-complexity projects across various products, ensuring successful execution, on-time delivery, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Create and monitor objectives and key results across various initiatives that align with Visa's 2030 strategy for revenue and client growth and preservation.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of analyses, reports, and executive-level presentations concerning key strategic portfolio milestones and trends.
  • Lead communication efforts across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business. Ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned with portfolio objectives, timelines, and progress.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to drive portfolio success. Implement strategies to optimize performance and achieve desired results.
  • Continuously monitor industry developments, market trends, and macroeconomic factors to proactively identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, regional partners, and third-party vendor relationships to ensure portfolio success.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Accountable for monitoring the team's budget allocation and expenditure, ensuring financial objectives are met.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

*9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

*3+ years of experience working with Issuers and clients in the financial services industry or a high growth technology company with commercial card solutions and platforms is preferred.

*Significant experience in portfolio management, particularly in the fields of payments, common services, and identity and access management in support of Brands, Issuers, Processors, Acquirers, Fintech's.

*Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices, such as Agile and experience and leading large Scrum teams.

*You have a demonstrated ability to drive efficient portfolio management with high velocity and quality across a diverse group of products and global stakeholders.

*The role requires strong interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to processes and procedures.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,200.00 to 196,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
