Job Summary: The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is responsible for promoting parts and services to customer base while expanding market share in order to meet territorial and corporate objectives. Develops assigned territory, implements sales plans to grow business, and maintain current customer base. Influences and grow sales with new business opportunities within assigned market area/territory. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Responsible for the sales of parts and service on related equipment
- Provides support for existing customer base
- Sources new business opportunities
- Prepares and presents parts and service quotes and maintenance agreements
- Prepares sales plans, sales reports, expense, and daily call reports
- Develops new accounts and maintains existing accounts
- Identifies and acquires new service contract opportunities
- Receives customer orders and serves as the customer contact point
- Generates a referral network to assist in increasing the client base
- Manages sales funnel and PAR
- Collaborates with prime product sales team to assist customers with making good decisions regarding the repair or replacement of equipment
- Aids in implementing, sustaining, and developing quality improvement processes that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service
- Maintains records of sales or other business transactions
- Prepares sales or other contracts
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of related equipment and maintenance requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
- Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with ability to build long term business relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge of CRM software
- Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
- First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented
- Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- A minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required, three to five years preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
- Extensive driving; overnight travel required
- Must have a valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
- Reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to inspect work visually
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment and will work outdoors as needed
- Noise level may be loud at times
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
