The Role

This Service Assurance Technician (SAT) position in the Quantum Fiber Structure Load team is responsible for building and maintaining the inventory of all Quantum Fiber GPON and XGS equipment in O2 and ensuring the highest possible data quality.

Location and Schedule

This is a full time Remote - Work from home position. Schedule is typically between 7 am and 5pm. May include varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime.

Must live and work from within one of the followin states: AZ, CO, ID, IA, MN, NE, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day support functions within QF Structure Load.
  • Support functions entail validating data quality, building and maintaining GPON and XGS inventory across a cross-section of Lumen's Quantum Fiber service areas.
  • Maintains inventory databases for outside plant facilities.
  • Uses NEISL and Odin Load Sheets to validate inventory to help ensure accurate data is built into the Quantum Fiber systems (Optius and ODiN).
  • Build and coordinate cable cuts and transfers with other departments to assist in meeting established service dates and prepare revisions when necessary.
  • Work closely with engineering during plant construction, verifying accuracy of records and assignments.
  • Act as subject matter expert on any issues involving facilities and their proper registration within databases.
  • Handle inquiries regarding completion dates and job progress with other departments.
    Partner with Field Operations, NI Engineering and Construction, and other Operations teams to resolve complex or multifaceted service/network issues via collaboration in person, email, or phone
  • Primarily performs work duties sitting at a workstation utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform under strict deadlines.
  • Multi-tasking experience in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and completing work tasks with speed and accuracy in a detailed, metric-based work environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer software systems, utilizing multiple window screens, e-mail and web-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Broad knowledge/understanding of how provisioning and repair systems work/flow together from beginning to end.
  • Must have strong communications skills such as probing, asking detailed questions to understand and problem solve to reach resolution.
  • Ability to provide efficient, quality service to both internal and external customers.
  • Experience with problem solving and utilizing analytical skills to review, correct and resolve record discrepancies.

Preferred qualifications

  • At least six (6) months experience in the last 4 years working in Lumen systems such as Optius and ODiN, LFACS, NCON, SWITCH (database), OmniVue/OSIP, Service Delivery, TIRKS, EMS, CMS, Mosaic, Site Tracker, NDS/NEISL, QF Sales Force, and Flight Deck.
  • At least six (6) months experience in the last 4 years interpreting/reading engineering or construction job prints and engineering equipment orders or schematics.
  • Previous experience working with Fiber to the Premises (GPON) equipment builds into LFACS, and related EMS/CMS, Switch, and NCON systems for provisioning
  • Understanding and experience working with GPON/XGS/G.FAST OLS files
  • Previous experience as a STLD SAT, or as an Engineer.
Compensation
Pay Ranges

Minimum hourly rate: ($15.50)
Maximum hourly rate: ($42.77)
