Architectural Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Assist in developing conceptual designs and architectural plans, often under the guidance of senior architects or project managers.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, models, renderings, diagrams, and construction documents using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct research and analysis on codes, materials, site context, and project requirements to support project development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and consultants, to coordinate design elements and ensure project integration.
  • Participate in site visits, field inspections, and the preparation of reports to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Review shop drawings, support project documentation, and assist in maintaining digital organizational systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to present ideas and resolve design issues.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 1-3 years of relevant architectural experience.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit; SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite are often preferred).
  • Strong graphic communication skills, including sketching and diagramming.
  • Basic knowledge of construction systems, building codes, and engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
