Responsibilities

Working on the Defense critical technology areas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of advancing national defense capabilities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, and more. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department's most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

As a Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

    Conduct analysis in support of managing the investment portfolio for a Critical Technology Area (CTA); track and report on funds that are executed
  • Support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process for all assigned programs, projects, and PEs
  • Support the DoD-wide Program Review process, including analyzing Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Program Budget Review (PBR) and President's Budget (PB) submissions
  • Support Issue Paper development
  • Provide financial analysis and needed support for related team meetings, white paper development, reviews, and other deliberations


Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant STEM discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience with DoD financial processes including PPBE processes
  • Experience with the following Government Financial Management systems is highly desired: Defense Acquisition Initiative (EBS, P2P, O2C, OBIEE, Hyperion); G-Invoicing; SelectNative Programming Data Input System for Information Technology (SNaP-IT); Department of Defense Information Technology Investment Portal (DITIP); Comptroller Budget Estimate Submission tool (Comptroller RDT&E XML Exhibits); Defense Travel System; Program Resources Collection; Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q); Wide Area Workflow (WAWF); WHS SharePoint Sub-Allotment Portal; and CAPE Program Budget Review (PBR) Issue Nomination System
