Responsibilities

Working on the Defense critical technology areas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of advancing national defense capabilities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, and more. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department's most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

As a Communications Lead, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

    Develop a communications strategy and plan to support the vision of the Critical Technology Area (CTA) office.
  • Develop briefings, reports, and other communications products on a variety of technical topics.
  • Assist in outreach to the S&T community to enable technology development including other U.S. Government, industry, academia, and international partners.
  • Executes integrated marketing communications projects utilizing the following tools: advertising, promotions, direct response, user conferences, events, trade shows, sponsorships, online and channel communications, among others.
  • Analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of marketing communications investments and recommends changes in strategy or mix to improve effectiveness.


Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience with marketing or communication in the Defense or Intelligence industries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; effective communications skills.
