Learn more at www.synopsys.com. SUMMARY The R&D Engineer contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the R&D Engineer will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs basic development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems Learns and employs best practices Performs basic bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions Works under the close supervision of a development manager MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS inEngineering, Computer Science, or related field Experience with C++ programming, especially involving Object Oriented software concepts Experience with MS Visual Studio IDE Experience with scripting languages like Python or JavaScript PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with basic FEA techniques, Computer Graphics (OpenGL), and Scientific Visualization Experience with source code versioning software like GIT Experience with Linux development Basic understanding of the software development process Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team Rewards and Benefits: We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs.
