Quality Reviewer, Lending and Trade Services -- Document Preparation
The Quality Reviewer is a member of the Lending and Trade Services - Document Preparation team. The team is responsible for preparing documentation for both commercial and consumer loans across multiple lines of business within all bank markets, while ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, and bank policies. The primary responsibility of the quality reviewer is to verify all documents are accurately prepared in accordance with the loan approval and supporting due diligence documents, in addition to binding and delivering the loan package.The loan requests managed may vary in complexity and may encompass a range of products, as well as various types of entities and collateral, such as real estate, all assets, vehicles, and marketable securities.

Position Responsibilities:
Quality Review


  • The Quality Reviewer evaluates the credit approval, existing loan documentation, and due diligence documents for both commercial and consumer loans.
  • Utilizes comprehension and expertise in underwriting principles, end-to-end loan processes, essential due diligence, and loan documentation pertinent to the product, loan structure, borrowing entity, type of collateral, and loan controls and/or covenants specified in the credit approval to assess and review the documents prepared for accuracy.
  • Performs a thorough review of loan documentation of varying complexities and delivers complete and accurate loan packages within the established service level agreements.
  • Detects, reports and corrects errors within loan documents prepared by the team.
  • Ensures adherence to established service objectives in accordance with procedures, corporate policies, legal guidelines, credit and lending policies, and applicable Federal and State Laws.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of legal and regulatory standards to assess risks associated to information obtained for loan documentation requests, which are subject, but not limited to, Reg B, Reg U, Flood compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, UCC Article 9, real estate laws and lien priority, as well as federal and state laws concerning borrowing entities and collateral.
  • Ensures all key operational metrics, particularly in the areas of service quality, productivity and overall efficiency are achieved.
  • Updates tracking systems with information utilized for reporting and measuring department and individual performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Provides direction to the Document Preparers to ensure the appropriate documents are prepared in accordance with the loan approval, instructions from the Document Control
  • Specialist and/or instructions from Corporate Legal.
  • Establishes rapport and maintains relationships through verbal and written communication with peers and other departments to facilitate collaboration, ensuring the delivery of quality customer service.
  • Executes the responsibilities of the Document Preparer role, as needed.

Position Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma OR Equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in banking OR financial service environment
  • 3 years of experience in commercial loan
  • 3 years of experience in analysis
  • 3 years of experience in customer service on a telephone and face-to-face environment
  • 1 year of experience in legal training, credit college training, or comparable commercial banking
  • 1 year of experience with relevant banking, regulatory and end-to-end loan process matters
  • 1 year of experience with PC based mainframe systems, loan accounting system (AFS)
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and Power Point
