We have an opportunity for a Plant Manager - Site Leader to join our Ashland, OH team. You will build operational talent, address key operational performance challenges, and implement sustainable standard practices around lean through the Pentair Integrated Management Systems (PIMS). Expected results will be sustainable improvements in safety, productivity, quality, on time deliveries and inventory turns for the location. This is an operational leadership role reporting into the Business Unit Operations Leader.

You will:

  • Develop the team to maintain and enhance a competitive edge and service to the customer.
  • Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
  • Establish and maintain high visibility to employees and create a safe environment for participation. Promotes hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem solving.
  • Drive a continuous improvement philosophy utilizing the Toyota Production Systems Lean Manufacturing (TPS).
  • Establish a leadership climate that fosters collaboration across the enterprise. Assist the enterprise in lean application.
  • Meet and exceed year over year financial targets through active continuous improvement projects and driving material and non-material cost out of the business while driving accountability for the overall P&L.
  • Direct and manage the establishment and maintenance of material replenishment methods, quality standards and performance metrics in support of the organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentors' managers and supervisors in the development of a Winning Culture. Develop and improve the skills, knowledge and abilities of the managers and supervisors to ensure strong succession planning.
  • Support the development of a range of products that will increase our market share or expand our market potential (3D).

Key Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. Masters strongly preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years in a Manufacturing Leadership Role or equivalent.
  • 5 - 10 years of P&L responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Proven history of increased responsibility and knowledge.
  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment and have the ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Exhibit positive energy and contribute as a change agent to the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a global matrix organization.
  • Experience working with labor unions is highly preferred.
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required (15-20%).

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $128500- $238600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
