For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of RN work experience!

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 6-bed general adult psychiatric unit, who services patients who may have experienced acute psychiatric illnesses and any other co-occurring disorders. It will provide a low stimulus environment focusing on both safety and symptom stabilization with the goal of transferring the patient to another adult unit when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have two years of relevant experience preferred, great communication skills and the ability to work with a team of dedicated members. This role allows you to provide highly individualized care to our communities most acute psychiatric patients and their symptoms.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Charge - Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities:

* Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

* License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must complete within 30 days of start date. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred.

* Experience: Two years of relevant experience preferred, experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
