EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Enrolled at an accredited institution. Preference will be given to Herzing University students, then to dependents of Herzing employees enrolled at an accredited institution.
  • Students must have a 2.0 GPA or higher.
  • Relevant coursework or demonstrated interest in the education industry is a plus.
  • Any prior customer service, administrative, or office experience is a plus.


Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. The hourly pay range for this position is $15 to $18.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Specific duties will vary depending on department placement, but may include:



  • Assists with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Conducts research and compile data to support departmental projects.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and other documentation as assigned.
  • Supports event planning and coordination efforts.
  • Assists in the creation and editing of internal and external communications.
  • Participates in team meetings and provide input on projects.
  • Performs data entry and database maintenance.
  • Collaborates with staff on special assignments.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Strong desire to gain professional experience.
  • Has strong drive to take on tasks, seek out additional work when appropriate, and demonstrate ownership of assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, listen effectively and follow instructions.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
