Estimated annual base pay: $98,000 (minimum) - $122,500 (midpoint) - $147,000 (maximum)

If you're a Facilities Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position enables more effective oversight of daily operations across the facility. The facility manager takes charge of crucial responsibilities like safety compliance, maintenance planning, equipment management, layout/drawing upkeep, vendor coordination, and resolving on-site issues.

What you will be doing...

  • Overall responsibility for building maintenance, all incoming utilities, machine repair, janitorial, security, facilities planning, telephone systems, leases/contracts and grounds maintenance.

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates special facility related projects (e.g. Global Business Processes: PLC, BTO, CI, and VSM activities).

  • Prepares and manages facilities expense and capital budgets.

  • Provides construction/renovation project cost estimates.

  • Plans, prioritizes and coordinates facility related projects and requests with the facilities team, outside contractors, architects and internal customers.

  • Responsible for development and support of preventive maintenance programs for building equipment systems, machinery and test equipment.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing cost improvements related to the services and operations provided by the facilities organization.

  • Provides structural and utility input to meet necessary requirements to install new equipment and machinery.

  • Works with government officials in regard to Woodward property issues and incoming utilities.

  • Maintains facility drawings and plant layouts. Leads facility planning to support objectives.

  • Supports and interacts with Environmental Health and Safety on issues involving air quality, noise levels, emergency response and potential OSHA violations.

What we are looking for...

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferred

  • Experience of related work in facilities/operations experience in an industrial environment or 3-5 years industrial facilities/operations experience and a Bachelor's degree.

  • Previous facilities management experience

  • General understanding of lean manufacturing principles and applicable manufacturing processes, such as: welding, brazing, heat treating, machining, EDM, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of skilled trades functions, building/construction trades, building safety codes, and construction and shop materials.

  • Strong skills in facility planning, contract negotiations, building modifications, and start-ups.

  • Strong people, time management, multitasking and project management skills.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to coach, mentor and motivate members to perform.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to organize and direct outside contractors.

  • Advanced computer skills (MS office - Word, Excel, etc) and applicable WISE/SAP capability.

  • LEAN Manufacturing - Certification
