We are seeking a Qualitative Test and Evaluation (QT&E) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team Lead for the Stock Control System (SCS) mainframe and cloud environments. This Team Lead will support the maintenance and testing activities of a legacy mainframe system and the transition to a new cloud-based environment and assist with leading and coordinating system testing plans and activities for a team of 3 other QT&E SMEs. This position has a hybrid work schedule each week with two days on-site (Kettering, Ohio facility) and three days of teleworking.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as Team Lead for the SCS QT&E Subject Matter Expert (SME) team, oversee the QT&E environment for the mainframe and Cloud environments, perform system testing and coordinate the testing activities of the other members of the SCS QT&E SME team.
  • Interact with the SCS SME team and the support contractor to assist with the ongoing testing and production support of the SCS, including the JAVA version of the system software to verify that the maintenance and enhancements have been successfully applied to both the mainframe and cloud versions.
  • Communicate with the other members of the SCS SME Team to schedule QT&E testing and document test completion.
  • Use the Agile methodology to manage and track QT&E Sprints.
  • Review JAVA, JavaScript, and PYTHON code for software and test peer reviews.
  • Provide and develop SQL for the SCS cloud environment.
  • Administer JIRA/Confluence tools to manage and track problem tickets and their solutions.
  • Ensure all documentation required to support the FISCAM checklist is complete, to include that test scripts and test results are captured and stored in a program management office (PMO) designated area.
  • Coordinate/conduct cross-training/knowledge transfer with existing team members to attain SME-level competence with SCS.
  • Respond to Program Manager requests for analysis of system transactions and processing rejects.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successfully complete a T1 Public Trust background check or higher.
  • Ability to review and understand application source code written in any of the following - JAVA, JAVA Script, PYTHON, and SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Customers as well as other delivery teams involved in the problem resolution process.
  • Ability to drive results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a high stress and changing environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Some experience coordinating and leading work activities of a small team.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence.
  • Agile trained and/or certified.
  • Experience with Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate's lifecycle management process in an agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of USAF Logistics Systems (i.e., Stock Control System (SCS/D035).
