About This Role Position Summary: The Senior Director of Business Solutions will be pivotal in providing strategic direction to the Product Management team. This involves driving the product roadmap and portfolio plans in alignment with customer needs and business strategies, leveraging Voice of Customer feedback to enhance product quality and performance. This position will conduct thorough product development reviews with input from internal stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive alignment. The Senior Director's responsibilities also extend to collaborating with customers to understand their business needs and goals. This senior-level position involves directing and controlling activities across global functional areas or divisions, translating strategic plans into operational initiatives with a lasting impact on the company's future. It will be key in driving revenue growth through the management and enhancement of CAE's product suites and services. Principal Accountabilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product strategy and vision aligned with the company's goals and market trends. This involves understanding the unique needs of the airline industry, incorporating feedback from C-suite customers, and anticipating future market demands.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite customers, including CEOs, CTOs, and CFOs of airline companies. Understand their business objectives, pain points, and priorities to align product initiatives and drive value for customers.
- Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the priorities, milestones, and timelines for product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of product development, delivery, launch and alignment with business objectives.
- Product Lifecyle Management: Manage the product lifecycle from ideation and development to launch and post-launch activities. Monitor product performance, gather metrics, and iterate on product features based on feedback and data analysis.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and industry research to identify market opportunities, threats, and trends. Use datadriven insights to make informed product decisions and stay ahead of competitors.
- Revenue Growth and Business Development: Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, packaging, and go-to-market plans. - Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product team. Encourage experimentation, agile methodologies, and rapid iteration to deliver value-added features and solutions that differentiate the product in the market.
- Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement: Position the company as a thought leader in the airline software industry through thought leadership initiatives, industry conferences, and strategic partnerships. Engage with industry associations, forums, and stakeholders to stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to industry best practices.
- Global Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse, multi-expertise global team of product managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure alignment with company strategies and objectives. Provide guidance, support, and strategic direction to enable the team to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Knowledge and Experience Essential
- Product Management Expertise: Proven experience in product lifecycle management, roadmap development, market analysis, and product strategy formulation.
- Technical Acumen: Extensive experience in SaaS industry, software development processes, technical architecture, APIs, data analytics, and UX/UI design principles. Knowledge and exposure to Optimization and AI.
- Sales & Business Acumen: Sound understanding of business principles, financial analysis, budgeting, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization. Demonstrated success and influence in sales attributes to drive product success and contribute to overall sales performance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, set clear goals, prioritize initiatives, and make data-driven decisions that align with business objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze data, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
- Customer Focus and Collaboration: Ability to understand and prioritize customer needs, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable product enhancements.
