What You Will Do:
Has knowledge of sizes, various threads and other mechanical details of items produced and shipped by organization. Fills customer's orders from stock in warehouse. Groups various items together according to order and transports them to shipping room or delivery platform. Assembles and prepares above items for shipment. Ability to use power saws and build crates. Experienced in the efficient operations of Fork Truck. Has knowledge of speeds, grades, load capacity and understands mechanics of same. Checks materials as received by company and moves materials to designated spots. Sees that materials are properly stacked or tiered, and is safety conscious. Does not neglect or abuse any vehicle assigned and reports any needed repairs to supervisor. Must have general knowledge of company operations and be familiar with all raw and finished material used in the manufacturing of rods. Receives all less than a load shipments in that department from suppliers and from customers returning material. Records and reports such receipts to office. Delivers above shipments to proper areas. When necessary, operates Fork Truck for receiving and making deliveries of incoming materials and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion High School or equivalent, related experience requiring the ability to read, write, add, subtract, and follow instructions.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasional exposure to heat or cold, some dirt, and grease. Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push. Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited tohearing protection. shoes/boots, hard hats, safety glasses, or respirators.
