TITLE: Inventory Control and Receiving Supervisor POSITION OBJECTIVE: To lead and manage all inbound material handling operations, including receiving, inventory control, and warehouse coordination for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. This role is responsible for supervising Material Handlers, ensuring timely and accurate movement and documentation of materials, maintaining warehouse organization and compliance, and driving continuous improvement in material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory management
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required, with proven ability to manage schedules, delegate tasks, and lead a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of inbound logistics, inventory systems, and material flow processes
- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate, receive and put away inbound shipments of raw materials including resins, concentrates, repro, boxes, pallets and other production related items
- Coordinate delivery appointments, staffing requirements and inspection requirements to receive and put away inbound shipments of intermediate sacks and finished goods.
- Coordinate, receive and put away all customer inventory returns for Quality disposition.
- Management of all Material Handler schedules, assignments, performance expectations and reviews.
- Assure that Material Handlers move all production, intermediate, and raw materials to issue and backflush locations as directed by manufacturing
- Ensure that all Material Handlers are fully trained and follow proper procedures to receive, put away, transfer, consolidate, log scrap, and count inventory
- Integrate new processes and ideas within the department to improve material flow and inventory accuracy.
- Oversee all Scrap for Sale and Scrap for Toll work inventory shipments and transactions
- Intermediate and Raw Material Warehouse housekeeping, organization and inventory preservation
- Inventory cycle counts, manual counts, and physical counts scheduled
- Receiving, inventory transfers, material issue, material return to inventory, and pick error investigation required
