The Logistics Senior Manager plays a strategic leadership role in shaping, executing, and optimizing logistics operations that directly support complex project delivery and long-term asset services. This position oversees logistics functions across multiple locations or customer sector groups, ensuring that logistics strategies align with project milestones, sustainability commitments, and operational excellence. As a senior leader within the supply chain organization, this role is instrumental in enabling safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials and equipment in alignment with Worley's ambition to derive the majority of revenue from sustainability-related projects. Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction for logistics planning and execution across multiple projects or regional portfolios, ensuring alignment with Worley's project delivery goals and sustainability ambitions.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of logistics frameworks, policies, and governance practices to standardize and elevate global logistics performance.
Manage cross-border and domestic transportation, warehousing, and inventory operations to meet complex project schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to proactively address logistics risks and opportunities across the value chain.
Lead supplier selection, contract development, and performance reviews for logistics service providers to ensure accountability, safety, and value delivery.
Monitor and evaluate logistics KPIs, driving efficiency gains, emissions reductions, and innovations in shipping, materials handling, and site logistics.
Champion digitalization and automation initiatives within the logistics function to enable data-driven decision-making and enhanced supply chain visibility.
Build and lead high-performing logistics teams, providing coaching, development, and succession planning to meet evolving business needs.
Serve as the logistics lead for executive stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional working groups, ensuring alignment and responsiveness to critical business needs.
Represent logistics strategy and performance in enterprise-wide transformation programs and business reviews, contributing to Worley's sustainable growth journey.
Qualifications / Skill Set
University degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field. Equivalent leadership experience in logistics operations within project environments will also be considered.
Extensive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management within the energy, chemicals, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
Proven leadership in managing regional or global logistics operations, including vendor networks, compliance programs, and complex multimodal freight movements.
Advanced knowledge of logistics regulations, international trade requirements, and sustainability principles impacting transport and materials handling.
Strong negotiation and commercial management experience with logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operators.
Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, implement process improvements, and drive logistics innovation using modern systems and technologies.
Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical, operational, and executive audiences.
