The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Security Operations Officer to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.

The Security Operations Officer assists the Security Chief in the daily security mission through scheduling, mission execution, and ammunition management.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports directly to the Security Chief.
  • Oversees the scheduling and execution of both daily base security missions and designated range security missions, executed by a pool of over 40 security guards.
  • Performs Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R) reporting that includes receipts, issues, expenditures, reclassification, and out-of-balance fixes.
  • Coordinates with government counterparts, as needed, for situational awareness and information sharing.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact during inspections involving OIS-R and scheduling.
  • Serves as the acting Security Chief in his absence.
  • In addition to the above, performs other tasks as assigned/directed by the Security Chief.

Environment: May involve working long hours on a frequent basis. Involves professional interaction among military and government employees, fellow staff members, sergeants, and security guards.

Physical Activities: Lifting/Pulling: over 50lbs (2 men assist); walking or standing, crawling, kneeling or cramped, work requiring repeated stooping, sitting work requiring repeated or frequent climbing

Environmental: Customer contact, extended workday, confined work area, field assignment & inclement weather

REQUIRED EDUCATION/DEGREE/CERTIFICATIONS:

High school or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) years of security-related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Possess strong people skills, especially in oral communications.

REQUIRED SECURITY AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
