Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the General Laborer will support production operations by performing a variety of tasks including material handling, machine operation assistance, logistics, and general housekeeping in all areas of the production shop. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and detail-oriented.
Schedule: 7:00AM-3:30PM
What You'll Do
- Supports production workers and supervision in various tasks across all departments
- Performs simple shop operations by sandblasting, part washing, trimming of parts assisting Spinners with material handling or torch,
- Assist Shipping & Receiving with packaging/crating of product
- Work in FanDuct Flow Line as required
- Operate Robotic cells as required
- Moves supplies/job to workstations by forklift or other material handling equipment
- Maintains and cleans production areas as needed. May include painting or washing of machines/equipment
- Cleaning of building and general Facility maintenance
- Works under direct supervision
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs if needed
- Capable of following directions
- Can complete tasks on his or her own.
- Takes responsibility for achieving production efficiency and quality of product
- Reports discrepant material immediately
- Demonstrates customer focus by seeking out, understanding, and responding to the needs of both internal and external customers
- Maintains positive attitude and communicates openly and honestly with others
- Solves problems proactively and contributes to continuously improving the process/product
- Capable of working in a team environment
- Accomplishes organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. (SQDC)
- Comply with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices. As outlined in Spincraft Safety Manual
- Use personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction.
- Report all accidents and injuries immediately to your supervisor.
- Report all unsafe conditions to their supervisors
- Actively engaged in EH&S, sharing innovative ideas and taking positive actions to contribute to the achievement of EH&S activities
- Actively participates in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following Company instructions;
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Tools, equipment and gauges are stored and maintained as defined by company standards
- Keeps work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations
- Daily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment
- Empty of trash and waste as needed
- Personal items removed from workstations
What You'll Bring

- Forklift experience
