THE ROLE:

Entegris is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Systems Manager to join our site based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As our new Engineering Systems Manager, you will collaborate in a cross-functional team environment within the global Advanced Purity Solutions (APS) Division of Entegris. If hired into this position, you will help create a competitive advantage for the business through experienced product and process knowledge and project management discipline. This role entails a mixture of resource and project and product ability management along; there will be a focused priority on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Develop Processes and Products

  • Align Engineering Strategy with Process Development and Process Sustaining Engineering efforts.

  • Establish Process Development Engineering strategy based on existing resources and business needs, including short- and long-term objectives.

  • Lead department strategic and tactical efforts to build and maintain world-class products and staff.

  • Identify and lead the implementation of process improvements.

Lead Important Projects:

  • Implement and maintain a Project Plan that supports the Business Plan

  • Prioritize critical tasks to ensure that Business expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Motivate Engineering teams to meet business objectives and committed completion dates.

  • Eliminate, reduce, and/or validate barriers to achieving project plans.

Manage Resources:

  • Mentor and develop key Engineering leadership talent

  • Assure that the Engineering organization has the management systems in place to attract and develop superior talent.

  • Continuously assess the technical capabilities and performance of Manufacturing processes.

  • Engineering to ensure needed talent and resources are in place and fully leveraged.

  • Identify and coordinate resources to solve technical problems in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Plan and manage capital and expense budgets that support the Business.

  • Closely monitor and address the quality and efficacy of Engineering project leadership.

Advance Our Technologies:

  • Leverage technological advantages that set Entegris products apart from others.

  • Reinforce the use of tools that optimize process design.

  • Identify and implement internal and external technological advancements that add value to the business.

Communicate Effectively:

  • Ensure that the Business Unit and Operational leaders are satisfied with the support they receive from the Product team.

  • Manage Development Engineering by continuously assessing quality and output of deliverables.

  • Understand and provide input to the AOP.

  • Ensure business objectives and product requirements are clearly defined.

  • Ensure effective communication between Plant support functions and other functions, (i.e. Product Engineering, Tooling, Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Sales)

WHAT WE SEEK:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

  • 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineer or related field.

  • Strong desire and inclination to be "hands on" in exemplification of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

  • Familiarity with the use of process improvement methods such as DMAIC and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Proven ability to lead and support both individual contributors and people managers

  • Ability to build a culture of trust, collaboration, and open dialogue

  • Proven track record of skillfully navigating team dynamics and resolving conflicts constructively

  • Experience with the design and development of plastics/polymer-based products strongly preferred.

  • Experience with MES development and deploymentstrongly preferred

  • Quality Systems Management and ISO audit experiencestrongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design and development of equipment/systems strongly preferred

  • Exposure to injection molding tool construction and the plastic injection molding processstrongly preferred

  • Experience with the development and execution of product testing plans and requirements strongly preferred

  • Compensation: $135,000-$170,000 yearly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
