Purpose of Position
The Kentucky Center for Mathematics ( KCM) is seeking a proactive and highly organized Coordinator for the KCM Numeracy Counts Grant. This position will play a vital role in supporting the success of the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy by coordinating communication with thousands of teachers across Kentucky, ensuring timely access to program manuals, instructional materials, and the online course platform. The Coordinator will verify and document attendance at all weekly and monthly meetings, and work closely with Numeracy Mentors to support program goals and maintain consistent engagement with participating educators.
Primary Responsibilities
| 1 | Communication Management- As the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy Coordinator, effective communication is a central responsibility. The Coordinator will lead the planning and execution of both mass and targeted communications to teachers and mentors participating in the Numeracy Counts initiative. This includes drafting and distributing clear, timely messages to ensure all stakeholders remain informed and engaged. The Coordinator will respond promptly to email inquiries, providing accurate information and consistent support to participants. Additionally, the role requires maintaining and regularly updating comprehensive contact lists to ensure communication reaches the appropriate individuals efficiently and reliably. | 50%

| 2 | Meeting Coordination- As the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy Coordinator, managing logistics is a key aspect of the role. The Coordinator will provide essential support for virtual sessions conducted through platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, ensuring smooth operation and a positive experience for participants. They will coordinate all logistical aspects of training events and live sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and technical support. Responsibilities also include preparing presentation materials and reports to support program delivery. The Coordinator will ensure timely access to both digital and physical instructional resources, track and manage the distribution of program manuals and supplies, and monitor inventory levels to support timely reordering and avoid disruptions in program implementation. | 20%

| 3 | Mentor Collaboration- As the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy Coordinator, strong collaboration with Numeracy Mentors is essential. The Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between the Kentucky Center for Mathematics and the Numeracy Mentors, ensuring open and consistent communication. This includes providing timely updates, logistical support, and access to relevant resources to help mentors effectively guide participating teachers. The Coordinator will help mentors stay informed and aligned with the goals of the Numeracy Counts initiative by sharing clear expectations, important dates, and program developments. Additionally, the Coordinator will generate and distribute timely reports on teacher progress through the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy module work, enabling mentors to provide targeted and informed support. | 20%

| 4 | Data Coordination- As the KCM Numeracy Counts Academy Coordinator, supporting data collection and documentation is a vital responsibility. The Coordinator will ensure that all required data is accurately gathered, organized, and maintained in alignment with grant requirements. This includes collecting participation records, progress data, and other relevant documentation needed for reporting and accountability. The Coordinator will work closely with the program's research partner to provide timely and well-organized data, supporting the research team's analysis and evaluation efforts. Attention to detail and a clear understanding of grant compliance will be essential in this role to ensure the integrity and success of the Numeracy Counts initiative. | 10%
