Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of IT Automation Analyst I. Primary Function: enhance the efficiency and reliability of our HVCU systems and processes through automation. Work with direct Supervisor/Manager, to help review, design, develop, implement, and support automated solutions that streamline processes and reduce manual intervention. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and ensure that the solutions align with business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Work as part of an IT Automation team to proactively identify and develop process improvement opportunities aimed at enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
  • Review, and document business processes and information workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Propose optimization solutions (including automation); identifying alignment with business requirements; making recommendations.
  • Document processes change requirements using the agreed standards, methods, and tools ensuring consistent high-quality output.
  • With assistance, design and implement automated solutions using industry standard technology tools such as RPA and batch automation software, ServiceNow, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Document and deliver processes and systems to ensure that service levels are consistently aligned with customer experience expectations.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions using MS Power Platform connectors.
  • Experience supporting and enhancing batch processing using OpCon for efficient file and data transfers.
  • Review current processes with a focus on simplification and clarity ensuring they align to current business objectives.
  • Develop, edit, and validate reports, dashboards and other data exports to improve operational visibility and to support business needs.
  • Create change records in compliance with change standards, as needed to support the organization.
  • Perform self-assessments of key processes and/or data to ensure processes are effectively being utilized by cross functional teams.
  • Prioritizing and managing own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines while ensuring accuracy of data and information is a priority.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enforcement of SDLC and ITSM processes, change management procedures, departmental standards, style requirements and all other procedures necessary for data and system integrity.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in computer science/related field preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 Years of experience Proficiency in implementing solutions using MS Power Platform connectors preferred
  • Minimum 4 years experience with automation tools like UiPath, or OpCon required
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and automating repetitive tasks required
  • Minimum 3 years ability to design comprehensive automation solutions, including flowcharts and process maps preferred
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy RPA bots for process automation preferred
  • Expertise in designing and configuring automation solutions preferred
  • Experience in deploying automation workflows with robust error handling and logging preferred
  • Certification in ITIL or other process management frameworks required
  • Certification in RPA tools like UiPath or Automation Anywhere required within 12 months
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals or Developer Associate preferred
  • OpCon knowledge/training courses preferred
  • Excel-related certifications preferred
