Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Secret Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Occupational & Environmental Health Policy Advisor to support enterprise-level policy and oversight efforts within the Department of Defense (DoD). This advisory role plays a critical part in shaping and aligning occupational and environmental health (OEH) policies with DoD strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep subject matter expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and demonstrated experience in engaging with senior DoD leadership and federal agencies. This position supports policy development, coordination, and high-level advocacy initiatives that ensure the health, readiness, and long-term well-being of the force. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level support for Department-level occupational and environmental health policy, oversight, and advocacy initiatives, ensuring alignment with DoD strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
- Facilitate policy coordination, reporting, and documentation, supporting DoD-wide OEH efforts.
- Assist with administrative support related to policy development, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
- Support and collaborate with higher echelons of DoD Component leadership, including Military Departments and Defense Agencies.
- Facilitate and provide support to working group efforts, ensuring integration and collaboration across DoD Components.
- Leverage Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH) for data analysis, trend identification, and policy recommendations.
- Support data analytic capabilities to enhance occupational and environmental health risk assessment and decision-making.
- Drive process improvement and data quality initiatives, optimizing reporting accuracy and compliance with DoD policy.
- Conduct analysis of OEH program performance, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare responses to congressional and media inquiries, congressional testimony, and reports related to OEH programs.
- Develop DoD issuances (Directives, Instructions, Manuals, Memoranda) with technical input focused on OEH.
- Provide DoD subject matter expertise on emerging health hazard exposures, disease prevention, and long-term health effects.
- Contribute to enterprise-level policy improvements supporting a standardized and effective OEH program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health, environmental health, public health, industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in bioenvironmental engineering, environmental science, occupational and environmental health, OEH-related data analytics, or industrial hygiene.
- Strong working knowledge of DOEHRS-IH and experience utilizing data analytics for policy development and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate strategic technical discussions, working groups, and collaboration with DoD leadership and Federal regulatory agencies (EPA, FDA, etc.).
- Experience supporting OSD-level governance and enterprise-wide integration of OEH initiatives.
- Expertise in process improvement, data quality management, and reporting within OEH programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
- Experience in DoD leadership, ideally supporting OEH at the enterprise level.
- Experience in high-level Federal regulatory engagement, shaping DoD occupational and environmental health policy.
