JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled software developer to enhance and refine our existing software leveraging advanced AI and large language models (LLMs) for patient selection in clinical trials. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and strong technical skills to improve user interfaces and data integration processes, significantly impacting healthcare outcomes.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    High School or GED. or
    plus successful completion of vocational training in computer programming


  • Experience
    3 years computer operation and/or programming. and
    1 year as Computer Programmer I or equivalent.


JOB DUTIES



  • Defines problems presented by other programmers or users or assists research and other personnel in defining problems for computer solutions, determining methods of approach, selecting, modifying, or writing new programs, and structuring data formats for solution of problems.
  • Studies assigned program descriptions.
  • Writes and test-runs programs, including preparation of all levels of documentation and flow-charts, computer instructions (code) and test data.
  • Documents procedures used throughout computer program.
  • Checks programs for logical sequence of machine operations and proper performance.
  • Modifies existing programs of moderate complexity as required to fit new circumstances.
  • Assists computer programmers in developing, testing, and revising programs.
  • Assists users and other programmers in use of special programs and techniques as required.
  • Provides working supervision to Computer Programmers of lower grade.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with ChatGPT, prompt engineering, or similar large language model
    applications.
  • Familiarity with Chroma DB or equivalent vector database technology.
  • Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database design, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing web applications/user interfaces using Django and
    HTML/CSS.
  • Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare
    data integration.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical trial processes.
  • Prior experience in healthcare technology or clinical research settings.
  • Familiarity with React
