About the role

We are seeking a talented engineer to maintain our Mine Monitoring and Controls systems (MMC) to be based in Boron, CA. You will be responsible for the maintenance of mine dispatch and data collecting systems. You will also be responsible for using mine data to create visualization and reporting tools to drive safety and efficiency within the mine.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, Tactical Planning, you will:

• Work with mine operations and vendors to ensure Modular Mining Dispatch and CAT CAES systems are operable
• Work with mine planners and mine operations to plan for short and long term MMC needs
• Collect, maintain, and visualize data to help drive sound business decisions
• Develop and manage the MMC budget
• Identify and investigate new technologies to make mine operations safer and more efficient

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• A BS degree in information systems, engineering or relevant experience
• 2+ years working in the mining or data systems industries
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of network systems
• Leadership skills to manage technicians and prioritize workload

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Knowledge of Modular Mining, CAT CAES, and Aquila
• Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
