Current and valid license to practice in Virginia or eligible to obtain.
Anesthesiologist Assistant accreditation and certification through the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)

None required

Experience PREFERRED:
Academic health care experience
One (1) year within the specialty practice area

Education/training REQUIRED:
Minimum Training and Education: Evidenced successful completion of Anesthesiologist Assistant program certified by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants

Must possess knowledge of local, federal and state laws and regulations and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards related to position's chief objective and demonstrate aptitude for compliance with VCUHS policies, procedures and customer services philosophy.
