Summary:

The Senior Director of Philanthropy, Coastal & Mountain Region is a key leadership role responsible for driving fundraising strategy, regional campaign execution, and donor engagement. This role will lead efforts to expand philanthropic support through major gift initiatives, strategic events, and partnership development with regional presidents and boards.

The Senior Director will collaborate with Philanthropy leadership to define and implement system-aligned fundraising strategies and priorities that achieve annual and long-term goals. This role also shares oversight of the patient facilitated services program and campaigns & strategic initiatives directors, ensuring coordination and excellence to advance MaineHealth's mission.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, healthcare, or related field preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in philanthropy, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. Experience in managing large-scale fundraising campaigns and strategic events within complex organizations. Strong collaboration and advisory experience with executives and governance boards. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the Coastal Mountain Regions and to system-wide events as needed.
