Summary:

The Senior Director Philanthropy Services is a visionary and results-driven leader responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of core fundraising support functions, including Planned and Annual Giving, Donor Relations, Events, Prospect Research, and Philanthropy Systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that centralized services are effectively integrated and aligned with the organization's overall philanthropic goals and strategies.

The Senior Director collaborates closely with regional Senior Leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual fundraising strategy, ensuring consistency, excellence, and donor-centricity across the health system.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or advanced certification in nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in philanthropy or nonprofit management, including oversight of multiple fundraising support functions. Proven success in strategic planning and execution of large-scale fundraising initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations. Deep knowledge of fundraising operations, systems, and donor engagement best practices.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams. Strategic thinker with strong operational acumen and problem-solving ability. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and regions. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Data-driven decision-maker with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Strong understanding of healthcare philanthropy is preferred.
