This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.

Position Summary:
The Director of Resident Services oversees the delivery of social services and activities for the residents. As the first point of contact for residents and family members, this position serves as a backup to sales and also markets the community through phone calls, walk-ins, tours and requests for information via the mail and/or online.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $22.25 to $25.00/hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

Position Responsibilities include:



  • Coordinates and promotes resident activities and plans and executes program set up, activity notices, and special events. Monitors activities to assure quality and resident satisfaction.
  • Assists with marketing strategies and sales leadership back up as instructed by the Executive Director
  • Coordinates resident services such as resident transportation, personal resident service needs, orientation for new residents and activities.
  • Addresses resident concerns as received including from Resident Association and its subcommittees.
  • Implements the event calendar plan, which includes: participation (as needed) through all phases of special events, promotional strategies, community relationships, presentations, and educational events etc.
  • Participates in all areas of marketing activities that are needed to achieve goals set by the Administrator. Handles mailing of letters, forms and collateral materials, as appropriate in response to clients' needs.
  • Facilitates the various resident activities. Facilitates meeting room arrangements and schedules to avoid conflicting scheduling.
  • Maintains current resident logs, lists and other data concerning resident status (i.e., directory, birthday list, meal logs, work requests, emergency contacts, resident storage and parking assignments).
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Executive Director.


Qualifications

Education:
Minimum two years of college study in marketing, gerontology or human services and related work experience required. Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study preferred.

Training and Experience:
Three to five years experience in retirement housing and public relations. Presentations, public speaking and experience in sales in a senior market and/or retirement housing preferred. Computer literacy required with specific software familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.

The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen. All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
