Job Description
Manages, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of volunteers. Assists in the delivery of comprehensive health care to the community by obtaining and retaining volunteers to augment the services of the institution's personnel. Job Responsibility
- Provides leadership to Volunteer Experience team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
- Plans, manages and establishes the goals of the Volunteers Department; develops, implements, and evaluates new volunteer services programs that reflect creativity and innovation.
- Ensures coordination, integration, communication, implementation, integrity, and evaluation of operating policies and procedures consistent with the department.
- Performs evaluation of existing programs and makes suggestions for improvements.
- Maintains the Volunteer handbook, and policies and procedures.
- Prepares and monitors annual recurrent expense and capital budgets for Volunteer Department; ensures that department operation is within budgeted limits and prepares monthly reports.
- Recruits Volunteers for the Hospital from various outside community organizations.
- Collaborates with vendors for onsite sales to benefit the department, as applicable.
- Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of volunteers.
- Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.
