Career Opportunity

We are currently seeking candidates for an IT Specialist position, located at our corporate office in Chesapeake, VA. This position offers a hybrid remote work schedule upon completion of initial training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Assist the COO in providing oversight to ensure IT service providers fulfill service agreements.
  • Assist the COO in ensuring compliance with the company's security plan.
  • Conduct monthly incremental audits of the security plan to complete a 100% audit annually.
  • Collect evidence of compliance during monthly security plan audits.
  • Coordinate with the IT service provider to procure hardware and software.
  • Maintain hardware and software tracking databases.
  • Conduct annual hardware and software inventory audits of hardware and software inventories.
  • Issue IT assets and track custody of assigned assets.
  • Coordinate IT asset lifecycle with IT service providers (i.e., procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposition).
  • Set up IT equipment for new hire orientations, confirm account information, and verify IT services have been provisioned.
  • Conduct IT orientation and training for all new hires.
  • Conduct audits of the property management and Entra ID databases and implement approved remedies.
  • Coordinate and execute the secure and environmentally responsible disposal of IT assets.
  • Create procedures and help guides, and train users as needed to support the adoption of technology.
  • Maintain content for the IT and Intranet SharePoint sites.
  • Support branch/remote office locations.

Travel

  • This position requires a low level of travel.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline.
  • Two years of related professional experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience operating in a cloud environment is desired.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with NIST SP 800-171 is desired.
  • Experience with government contracting/federal government is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • One of the following certifications is desired:
    • Security+
    • Cloud+

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, and using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
