Pay Rate: $26.77/hr +$1.00/hr CDL Pay

Health and Welfare: $8.34 - $10.96/hr up to 40 hours per week to be used towards benefit premiums

Scope of Work:

This position serves as a truck driver for a majority of the workday. General Maintenance Workers also provide support on grounds related services such as concrete work, asphalt, and aiding equipment operators.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in snow removal, paint striping and moving lifts and equipment.
  • The position requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in various construction trades.
  • Work will include various laborious duties while utilizing many different hand tools, repairing or replacing concrete, asphalt, dirt work, and also operate equipment such as Vactor Trucks, Dump Trucks with sander and plow, and Street Sweepers.
  • During winter months assist in snow removal via operation of various equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Class B CDL Required. Must have Tanker Endorsement or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Class A CDL Preferred - no restrictions.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience.
  • Tandem dump truck and tractor trailer endorsement is preferred.
  • Tanker and hazmat experience preferred. Street and parking lot striping experience preferred.
  • Construction equipment experience preferred.
  • This position will require overtime and being on call.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • This position will require overtime and being on call.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Employees will be required to work outdoors in any element of weather.
  • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain - side hills and slopes.
  • On a continuous basis, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist for varying periods in the course of work; use hands and fingers to grasp tools; make repetitive hand and body motions; twist and reach below and above shoulder; lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to communicate with co-workers using a two-way radio; use telephone, see in the normal vision range with or without correction to read.

All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
