As the Engineering Manager for QA with a focus on Test Automation, you will oversee the quality assurance processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will lead a team of QA engineers, promote the use of test automation practices, and collaborate with teams to enhance our testing frameworks and methodologies. This is a hybrid role, and you will report to the IT Quality Assurance Senior Manager.

Position Compensation Range:

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities:



  • Lead a team of QA engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and progress.
  • Develop and implement test automation strategies to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand requirements and design test plans.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality software releases by managing testing schedules and resources.
  • Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide applicable insights to improve product quality.
  • Promote the use of best practices in test automation and QA processes across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to enhance the QA function.


Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements


  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of a computer and with Word, Windows, and Excel.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow through.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and balance production with quality of work.
  • Strong time management, organization, and leadership skills


Preferred Knowledge & Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with QA management, with a focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 50 miles of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783
