Genesis Energy, L.P. is a publicly traded, master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. We provide critical pipeline infrastructure supporting long-lived, world-class developments in the Gulf of America. Key Duties:
- Assist in performing tasks associated with the maintenance and/or construction of the pipeline, the right-of-way and grounds around pipeline or other facilities, and monitoring product quality.
- Assist with operation and/or monitoring of station/terminal equipment through manipulation of station/terminal central control panel to control movement of product into, out of, and within facilities.
- Assist with measurement, recording, and transmission of product (crude oil, gas, CO2, etc.) volumes, both inbound and outbound.
- Assist in recording and documenting all pipeline activity in designated geographic area of responsibility.
- Interact with customers, landowners, 3rd parties, contractors, etc., assisting with verification of volumes for pick up or delivery (either independently or under the span of control of a qualified operator).
- Assists in gauging tanks and all measurement activities, i.e., LACT/ACT units.
- Assists operations and other technicians with maintenance and pipeline projects on an as-needed basis.
- Assists with line locates and One Calls.
- Participate in the company's Health and Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) programs.
- Follow all company and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Perform routine grounds maintenance/housekeeping for the facilities.
- Physical demands and environmental conditions of position: standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, squatting, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying; pushing and pulling of 120 lbs.; hearing, seeing, smelling; manual dexterity, can work in extreme cold/hot/dry/wet conditions; can work alone; can lift up to 85 lbs; ability to tolerate meduim-heavy demands on the cardiovascular system related to material handling and constant standing and frequent walking.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must meet company's required training protocol
- Self-starter, responsible and has ability to work with close supervision
- Must be able to work in various natural environmental conditions
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to obtain required certifications (i.e., TWIC card)
- Basic math skills (including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to learn local, state and federal regulations as applicable
- Pipeline operating experience with Operator Qualifications, preferred
- Pigging experience, preferred
- Mechanical aptitude; plus knowledge of valves, compressors, tanks, etc., preferred
- Basic-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer, preferred
- Basic familiarity of all local, state and federal regulations as applicable, preferred
- Military training and experience, preferred
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shift and/or work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as dictated by operations.
- May be asked to travel outside of assigned area to other locations to assist, no more than 15%
- In training; assisted by more experienced employees in most job duties; not yet working independently, under close supervision with detailed written or verbal instruction
