Here's what you'd do:

  • The Rework Operator I is responsible for performing a complex range of assembly, rework and inspection of printed circuit assemblies encompassing Pin Thru-hole and Surface Mount Technologies
  • Reports to the Production Supervisor.
  • Follow assembly procedures and visual aide instructions.
  • Verify integrity of material to be assembled to the assembly procedure, and or visual aide instruction.
  • Assemble electronic components (e.g. resistors, capacitors, connectors, sockets, etc.) in specific printed circuit board locations, following assembly procedure, wiring diagram, electrical schematic and visual aide instruction.
  • Solder electronic components in specific printed circuit board locations, following assembly procedure and visual aide instruction.
  • Perform ECO rework on SMT and Pin Thru-hole components.
  • Add wires to specific printed circuit board locations following assembly procedure, ECO, wiring diagram, electrical schematic and visual aide instruction.
  • Add/remove components utilizing de-soldering tools, soldering irons and rework stations.
  • Inspect completed print circuit assemblies for quality and completeness following assembly procedures and IPC-A-610 Acceptability Guideline.
  • Pre-form component leads per IPC standard, assembly procedure and visual aide instruction.
  • Control, document and process to MRB non-conforming material.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
  • Participate in Quality team meetings
  • Maintain ESD integrity within production environment.
  • Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.

Job Requirements
Here's what requirements you'll need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in rework and inspection of electronics
  • Active IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7722 or J-STD-001 Certification
Here's what sets you apart from other candidates that our clients prefer:
  • Experience in the operation of rework tools and repair workstations
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO 13485
  • Prior ESD Training
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board assembly and product assembly processes
  • Knowledge of component value identification and other component nomenclature
  • Ability to read test procedures and follow verbal instructions.
