Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Estimator/Service Manager to join our HVAC team. This dual-role position is responsible for capturing deficiencies from maintenance reports, small projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project execution, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of services and materials. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HVAC systems and componentry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to project and maintenance tracking. Estimating & Proposals
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and present professional proposals to clients.
- Ensure scope accuracy and competitiveness.
- Perform site walks to assess opportunities
Project Management
- Oversee HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Track project progress, update stakeholders, and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform in-field inspections of ongoing work to ensure quality
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
Maintenance & Deficiency Tracking
- Review preventive maintenance reports and identify deficiencies.
- Track and prioritize corrective actions based on maintenance findings.
- Coordinate with service teams to schedule and complete necessary repairs.
Parts & Materials Management
- Order HVAC parts and materials in a timely manner to support ongoing projects and service calls.
- Track the status of ordered parts and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and usage.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management with 5+ years of experience
- Associate degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience
- High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on estimating and project management
- Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy (company vehicle use may be required)
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance (background investigation required)
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficient in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite
- HVAC certifications or technical training (required or strongly preferred)
