Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.

Summary:

The Sr. Network Administrator will lead or supervises in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Leads various Tier I and Tier II service desk duties.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and other network systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior network administrators and service desk personnel.
  • Perform network performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Conduct network testing and evaluation to identify and eliminate issues and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage and support firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and other network hardware/software.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  • Monitor network usage and performance using appropriate tools and generate reports for management.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage service desk operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • IAT Level II Certification
  • Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Must have Top Secret (SCI Eligible)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in federal or defense environments.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, containerization, and automation tools
  • Industry standard technical and network certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $104,000.00 to $117,000.00 annually.
