Responsibilities The Biomedical Technician will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Under minimal supervision performs skilled work of extreme difficulty relating to diagnostic biomedical equipment relocation, installation, operation, repair and maintenance. Is proficient in the maintenance of varieties of manufactured biomedical equipment and specialize in at least three diagnostic areas (e.g. patient monitoring, clinical laboratory, respiratory therapy, surgery, anesthesia delivery systems, medical lasers). Performs advanced diagnostic, preventive maintenance, safety, and performance testing. Documents all work performed in accordance with department policies and procedures. Able to follow and comprehend complex detailed schematic diagrams, flow charts and building diagrams. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience/Working Knowledge: Minimum qualifications are education or equivalent training typically found in a two to four year college degree program in electronics or engineering. Able to verbalize and write communications on technical subjects for use by the director/manager. Have advanced computer literacy skills. Preferred qualifications are electro-mechanical / Biomedical and Advanced Biomedical maintenance experience in a hospital setting.
