The Principal Integration Architect is responsible for designing and governing enterprise integration solutions, with a primary focus on connecting to and from SAP applications. This role requires deep expertise in integration technologies and patterns. It involves working collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data exchange across systems. The architect will serve as the subject matter expert for middleware architecture and play a key role in aligning integration solutions with business and IT objectives. The position requires very little direction, and tasks are generally complex and broad in both scope and implications. Associates at this level would have advanced technical knowledge and be expected to look forward to potential new methods or technologies within their discipline, to proactively identify and address issues, and to have the ability to mentor lower-level Associates. Additionally, the associate will be called upon to work with Project Managers, Process Leads and other people in the process organization to discuss integration requests / requirements. Hollister Incorporated operates in a hybrid work environment. A minimum of 3 days in the office (Libertyville, IL) per week is required. Responsibilities:
- Architect and deliver scalable integration solutions using SAP CPI, SAP Integration Suite, CI-DS, and Boomi, including API Management and event-driven patterns on SAP BTP.
- Design and implement SAP-centric interfaces (S/4HANA, ECC, cloud apps) using IDoc, RFC, BAPI, OData, SOAP, and REST, supporting real-time, batch, and asynchronous flows.
- Define and enforce enterprise integration standards, reusable patterns, and security practices across clouds, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, developers, and vendors to gather requirements and deliver robust, supportable integration solutions.
- Oversee interface monitoring, error handling, and lifecycle governance, while contributing to platform roadmap, tool evaluations, and adoption strategies.
- Support SAP transformation efforts by aligning integration architecture with Clean Core and cloud-first strategies and ensuring readiness for S/4HANA and hybrid deployments.
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, performance tuning, code/design reviews, and promotion of integration best practices.

Requirements: Number of overall years necessary: 12-15
- Minimum of 10 years of enterprise integration experience, including SAP, with a bachelor's degree, or 14 years of experience with a high school diploma.
- BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent related field of study
- MS/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent field of study (preferred)
- Demonstrated significant global project success\
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
- Minimum 10 years experience in:
- Designing and implementing integrations with SAP systems, including S/4HANA and ECC
- Integration protocols and standards such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, OData, SOAP, and REST
- Integration tools including SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP Integration Suite, SAP CI-DS, and Boomi
- Designing secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Collaborating and working effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning for complex integration issues
- Enterprise integration patterns and best practices
- Familiarity with SAP BTP services such as API Management, Event Mesh, and Extension Suite
- Experience with API-led and event-driven architecture patterns
- Knowledge of Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility strategies (in-app and side-by-side)
- Experience contributing to integration strategy, platform roadmap, and tool evaluations
- Technical leadership experience, including mentoring, code reviews, and design guidance
Local Specifications:
- English Fluency, both verbal and written. Additional languages a plus.

- The anticipated base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $204,000 yearly. The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
- This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister Corporate Bonus Plan. The Company also provides a unique Benefit of Employee Share Ownership Program (BESOP) program based on earnings and length of service.
