Contract terms: 18 months
Pay Range: $90-105/hr

An innovative, late-stage biopharmaceutical company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management
to lead cross-functional drug development teams. This role focuses on driving complex clinical programs through late-stage development and regulatory filing, with a strong emphasis on strategic execution and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess deep scientific understanding within oncology, expertise in regulatory submissions (NDA/BLA), and a track record of success in managing clinical-stage assets through commercialization. This position is part of the Clinical Development team and partners closely with clinical operations, regulatory, CMC, and other critical functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead program management efforts for cross-functional teams delivering late-stage clinical programs, regulatory submissions, and commercialization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans including timelines, budgets, resourcing, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive decision-making processes and facilitate communication across teams to meet key development milestones.
  • Represent project progress and challenges to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build and support high-performing, matrixed project teams in collaboration with project leads and functional heads.
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools within the PMO, supporting enterprise-wide project management capabilities.
  • Support additional PMO initiatives and strategic planning efforts as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 12+ years of global clinical trials experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including direct program management within clinical development (Phases 1-3)
  • Demonstrated experience in major regulatory filings (NDA/BLA) and global development programs.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle from early discovery through commercialization.
  • Proven leadership in a matrix environment with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and be onsite 4 days per week.



Estimated Min Rate: $73.50
Estimated Max Rate: $105.00
