About This Role Working in a highly collaborative environment, this job involves a wide variety of incident investigations, including accident reconstruction. Projects require fieldwork, investigation, analysis, product testing, report development and legal testimony. This position requires human factors expertise as part of a multi-disciplinary team evaluating human factors and safety concerns across the full product lifecycle including product design, development, manufacture to accident investigation, failure analysis, and product recall. The candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of small to large scale client projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timing and financial constraints by performing duties personally or in conjunction with other colleagues. Work will include review of existing scientific literature and standards; and the performance or supervision of original research to obtain and analyze relevant technical data. The candidate will interface with internal ESi consultants and directly with clients, assessing client needs, establishing performance timelines, developing budgets, and explaining complex technical concepts in lay terms.
