Job Description

Vitro, North America's largest manufacturer of architectural and automotive glass is currently seeking a Plant Controller at its Wichita Falls, Texas location.

The Plant Controller is a key senior leadership role responsible for managing all financial operations within the plant. This includes strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, investment analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role partners closely with executive leadership to deliver actionable financial insights that support operational efficiency and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the plant's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives and operational performance.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with direct reports to review major operational issues, approve time-intensive projects, assign new initiatives, and align on priorities.
  • Review weekly reports and key correspondence from subordinates to stay informed and provide guidance.
  • Partner with plant department heads to coordinate interdepartmental activities, address operational challenges, and align financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to review and approve major projects.
  • Analyze plant performance metrics, identify cost inefficiencies, and recommend solutions.
  • Provide financial support and services to departments to implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Actively participate in production meetings, project reviews, quality improvement teams (QIT), weekly staff meetings, and other problem-solving sessions.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus
