Position Description |
Georgia State University College of Law invites entry-level and junior lateral (pre-tenure) candidates to apply for a tenure-track position to begin no later than the 2026-27 academic year. The College of Law seeks candidates who research and teach in the area of Environmental Law, with potential interest in related areas (e.g., Land Use Law, Energy Law, and Climate Change Law). The successful candidate will also become a member of the College of Law's Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth, the leading comparative land use law center in the United States that offers rich programming for students and practitioners and a collaborative research environment:

Required Experience |
- Applicants seeking the rank of Assistant Professor should demonstrate a track record or promise in teaching and research.
- Applicants seeking the rank of Associate Professor must have superior academic credentials and a demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service.

Work Hours |
Law Academic with a 10-month appointment. Standard work hours to support the required workload of 33.4% Teaching, 33.3% Research, and 33.3% Service.
Georgia State Law faculty may be required to work non-standard hours, including day, evening, online, blended/hybrid, and weekends, as determined by the Dean. |
